Meets as needed to complete the plan.
To:
(1) Mold the Community Foundation board into a model board
(2) Provide strategic direction for the Foundation for the next three to five years
(3) Evaluate the needs of the Foundation to be fulfilled by the Trustees
(4) To seek out, evaluate, and nominate leaders who will best fulfill the needs
(5) Nominate the Foundation's officers
(6) Suggest possibilities for committee membership believing that future Trustees   should first service on a committee

Donor Relations Committee | 2011 - 2012

Meets as needed during the year
To:
(1) Solidify relations with current donors
(2) Build a sustainable process for tracking and communicating with our donors
(3) Determine what our donors expect from the Foundation

Finance Committee | 2011 - 2012

Meets once or twice per year
To:
(1) Supervise preparation of the budget for submission to the Board of Trustees
(2) Suggest salary levels
(3) Recommend the auditor
(4) Review the audited financial reports and any other reports from the auditors

Grants Committee | 2011 - 2012

Meets as needed. Formal grant evaluation meetings at least twice annually.
To:
(1) Make the final decisions for awarding Foundation grants
(2) Make site visits to learn about nonprofits and how they are managed to evaluate potential grants
(3) For those grantees visited, evaluate the effectiveness of the grants by another site visit and/or review of materials filed by the grantee documenting results
(4) Seek and nurture grassroots leaders and organizations
(5) To formulate and authorize Community Foundation grant initiatives

Marketing and Communications Committee | 2011 - 2012

Meets as needed
The Marketing Committee will have responsibility/oversight of all marketing materials generated by the Foundation and for recommending the strategic direction to reach all audiences important to the Community Foundation.
To:
(1)
 
To create increased awareness of the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay, and its four divisions, with specific targeted groups, e.g., professional advisors like attorneys, CPAs, estate planning professionals, insurance agents, and financial advisors
(2)
 
To create increased understanding among targeted groups of the types of products and services available to donors, including understanding the benefits available from using our Foundation
(3)
 
To create an increase in referrals from current and former board members, committee members, existing donors, and from professional advisors
(4) To assess progress toward these objectives on a regular basis using metrics to be determined by the committee
