When Jack and Laura Golly arrived in Tampa in 1956, they brought with them their gift for music and art. The Jack Golly Orchestra played at most of the outstanding social and civic events on Florida's West Coast. Under Jack's baton and with his music-writing talents, this versatile dance band played all types of music. Laura enjoys art and is an avid reader.
Now retired, Jack and Laura have established a Donor Advised Fund within the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay because they like the flexibility they have in making grants. The Gollys love for animals leads them to support the Humane Society through their fund. They help The Home Association, Meals on Wheels, Joshua House and LifePath Hospice. I like to have control over my contributions and make my own choices. The Community Foundation provides the personal service I value and the guidance I need to make good decisions, said Jack Golly.
Both Jack and Laura like the concept of establishing a "forever fund," one which will be a source of income for their family through charitable trusts and then will support organizations they love long after they are gone.
You too can count on the Community Foundation to turn your caring into commitment. Leave Your Legacy to your community by establishing your fund to benefit today and into the future those organizations that are close to your heart.
