Donor Stories | Members of the Bridge Club
Members of the Bridge Club grew up together, attended football games and
proms, scattered during their college years, but returned to Tampa to renew
their friendship. They gathered for bridge, baptisms, and parties and each
Christmas showed their affection for one another with a small gift. As years
passed, they decided to give a gift to a charity instead of to each other.
Recently they have established the "Bridge Club Fund" in the Community Foundation
from which they give a Christmas grant each year to a nonprofit.
"Selecting a charity and assuring that our gift would have a positive impact
is hard work! The Community Foundation Grants Committee has many good ideas
about creative grants. They make giving easier and help assure that our
gift will make a real difference," said a member of the Bridge Club.
The "Bridge Club" is celebrating their friendship by leaving their permanent
legacy to the community through the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay.
