Guardian Ad Litem program of
Voices for Children of
Hillsborough County was the
recipient of this year's
grant from the Women's Fund
within the Community
Foundation of Greater Sun
City Center. The
presentation of the check
for $15,000 was made by
Foundation Council Chair
Evelyn Lunsford at the
annual luncheon held
November 19, 2009 at Club
Renaissance in Sun City
Center.
Keynote speaker, MaryEllen
Elia, Superintendent of
Hillsborough County Public
Schools, referenced the
imminent notification of
Hillsborough County Schools
of the $100 million grant
from the Bill and Melinda
Gates Foundation, which was
expected that afternoon.
