USAmeriBank establishes fund with Community Foundation of Tampa Bay
When it comes to charitable giving, many companies want to give back to their community, but they often don’t know where to start. The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay aims to address the problem by creating corporate partnerships designed to help companies organize and prioritize their giving.
One company looking to create more structure for its community giving is USAmeriBank, which recently established a fund with the Foundation. Through this partnership, the Foundation will help USAmeriBank connect to the causes the bank and its employees care about the most.
“We hear from companies time and time again that they want to be involved with their community, but don’t have the structure in place,” said Marlene Spalten, CEO of Community Foundation of Tampa Bay. “By partnering with us, companies tell us what their goals are for giving and we use our knowledge and expertise to connect them with effective programs and organizations.”
Community foundations nationwide are doing more to facilitate what they call “impactful giving.” When people give, they expect to see results. And donors want to make sure they are giving to a legitimate organization that is making a difference for its community.
With years of experience in researching area nonprofits, the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay has already done the homework to find organizations and programs that are having a real impact, and the Foundation wants corporate partners to benefit from this knowledge.
“Our goals of supporting education and workforce development tie perfectly with the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay’s areas of support. Partnering with them was a natural fit,” said Joseph V. Chillura, President and CEO of USAmeriBank. “We’re excited to see our resources have a real impact on our community and look forward to a continued relationship with The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay.”
