He has the most wins in county history with 254 victories. More importantly, he influenced thousands of students' lives both in and out of the classroom. He was a coach, mentor, father figure and teacher.
Billy Turner was married for 56 years to Lucille. He had 8 children, 20 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. His life revolved around his family and coaching. He saw the potential in all kids and the good in all people. His life was about helping others achieve their dreams.
Coach exemplified hard work, dedication, loyalty, fair play, and a never-quit attitude. He succumbed to cancer after a four-year battle on June 9, 2017. Please help us honor his name by donating to the Coach Billy Turner Scholarship Fund. It will be awarded to student athletes who best exemplify the values of Coach Turner. Recipients must display great effort in the classroom, on the field, and in the community.
