坦帕湾社区基金会根据非营利组织需求清单捐赠 250 万美元

The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay working with generous donors and partners, has contributed more than $2.5 million directly to nonprofits to meet urgent COVID-19 requests on the Nonprofit Needs List. The needs remain great for food and shelter, health and wellness, education, arts and culture, animal welfare and more. The Community Foundation continues to make connections and to generate resources to meet critical demands in our community.

This past week, in cooperation with contributing partner Humana Foundation, the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay distributed $100,488 to fund requests on the Nonprofit Needs List that address COVID-19 relief efforts for black residents. Data shows that communities of color have been hit disproportionately hard by COVID-19.

Those grants went to:

• 2020 Plan Taskforce at the Pinellas County Urban League
• Community Tampa Bay
• Daystar Life Center
• Life-Skills, Empowerment And Development Services, Inc. (LEADS)
• Second Chance Life Skills, Inc.
• St. Petersburg Free Clinic, Inc.
• University of South Florida Foundation – Bridge Healthcare Clinic
• Catholic Charities, Diocese of St. Petersburg, Inc.

“We remain grateful for the trust our donors, partners and the community have placed in us as a steward of our region’s philanthropy, and we are committed to remaining diligent in our pursuit of a stronger, more vibrant, more resilient Tampa Bay,” said Marlene Spalten, President and CEO.
