Fundholder-Driven Impact
Community Foundation Tampa Bay fundholders direct their investments to nonprofits important to them via their charitable funds, such as scholarships, donor advised funds, family foundations, and more. Whether the charitable gift is simple or complex, our philanthropy experts assist fundholders in structuring customizable charitable giving options to meet their giving goals. Simultaneously, our community impact team provides a local perspective on community needs across Tampa Bay and the nonprofits focused on areas fundholders care most about. Depending on the type of fund, our fundholders can direct their giving at the time the fund is established, such as a scholarship or endowment, or have flexibility directing their funds through Donor Advised Funds and Family Foundations.

In addition to funding directed by our fundholders, Community Foundation Tampa Bay manages and distributes discretionary funding made possible by fundholders’ field of interest grants and unrestricted donations entrusted to us. We leverage data, our community expertise, and our collaborative relationships to identify ways our investment can impact the areas of greatest need. We target five areas of focus to help us better concentrate our impact because we believe these focus areas are key to achieving our collective vision for Tampa Bay.
