Venture Philanthropy Fund

Established in 2017

The Venture Philanthropy Fund helps startup, small and grassroots nonprofits increase their impact and capacity and supports innovation and entrepreneurial solutions in nonprofits of any size. Strong focus on underserved populations, those who face economic challenges serving Hillsborough, Pinellas, Citrus, Pasco or Hernando Counties. A vision of doing a lot with little; high leverage, new ideas. Any size organization is eligible, but we listen carefully to quieter voices, who may have no experience asking for support. Examples of possible grants: Mini-grants to fund expanded programs at the pace the organization can responsibly scale. Training to expand the leadership, fiscal and organizational skills of core staff. Access to specialized resources like grant writers, marketing support and financial specialists that could be shared by several organizations. Mentorship and fiscal oversight to support proper stewardship.
