Nicolette Rea named Grant Chair of FAWL’s Pinellas Chapter

Nicolette Rea, J.D., Associate Counsel and Director of Donor Relations at Community Foundation Tampa Bay, has been elected Grant Chair of the Pinellas Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (PFAWL) for the 2024-2025 year. PFAWL is a professional network dedicated to advancing women in the legal profession and local communities.

PFAWL actively promotes non-partisan issues affecting women, including gender equality in the workplace and parental leave. The organization is committed to furthering the common interests of its members and addressing issues concerning the Pinellas legal community.

As part of her volunteer leadership role, Rea will spearhead the organization’s annual community project where members support a cause that benefits the local community. This year, PFAWL is providing legal services to individuals in Pinellas County. Rea will identify funding opportunities and ensure efficient allocation of funds for legal services to those in need.

Rea has more than five years of legal experience in Florida. She joined the Community Foundation Tampa Bay in 2019 to assist with IRS compliance, fund administration and governance. In her role, she also strengthens relationships with philanthropists and their professional advisors to help each of them maximize the impact of their gift.

She previously served as a Director for PFAWL in 2022-2023. Active in the legal community, Rea is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, Clearwater Bar Association and Pinellas Estate Planning Council. She previously served as President of the Clearwater Bar Association’s Young Lawyer Division.

Her combination of nonprofit, legal and donor relations experience has allowed her to passionately serve the Tampa Bay philanthropic community and positions her as an effective Grant Chair for PFAWL.

The installation of the 2024-2025 PFAWL board was hosted at CFTB’s Pinellas office on Wednesday, June 5. Members were sworn in by the Honorable Diane Croff.
