Community Foundation Tampa Bay is pleased to announce the recipients of our FY2025 Competitive Grants. These grants reflect our ongoing commitment to supporting impactful, community-driven work across our five-county service area: Citrus, Hernando Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties.
After an extensive review, 84 applications were awarded totaling over $2.2 million. These nonprofit organizations are each advancing work in one or more of our five strategic focus areas:
- Economic Opportunity
- Environmental Resiliency and Sustainability
- Physical Health and Mental Wellbeing
- Quality Child and Youth Education
- Vibrant and Engaged Communities
Simplified Application, Deeper Impact
In response to the ongoing challenges facing nonprofits serving these critical areas—particularly those still recovering from recent hurricanes—we introduced a single-phase Competitive Grants application process, this year. This application was designed to make it easier for organizations to apply.
Review & Evaluation Process
All 363 applications were extensively reviewed in this highly competitive process. Proposals were evaluated for services to vulnerable populations, authentic and intentional collaboration, incorporation of best practices, demonstration of ongoing and sustained impact, and the ability to quantify the impact on the target population. Ultimately, 84 projects were awarded which included 17 continuing multi-year grants from the 2023 and 2024 competitive grants cycles.
Applicants were required to demonstrate alignment with one of our focus areas and serve communities within our designated geographic footprint.
